Dr John Hawkins is a senior lecturer in the Canberra School of Politics, Economics and Society at the University of Canberra. He was worked as a senior economist in the Reserve Bank of Australia, the Australian Treasury and the Bank for International Settlements. He served as secretary to the Senate Economics Committee. He holds a PhD from the Australian National University and an MSc from the London School of Economics.
