Supine Australia, failing US
John’s truth comes from intimate involvement and intelligent assessment. But I am confident he need not worry too much about the dangerous US military and Intelligence presences in Australia. When the US economy crashes, and that is due any day now, they will not be able to afford their octopus-like presence around the world.
US national debt is rapidly approaching $40 trillion dollars and their attempts to turn over that debt are increasingly meeting vast increases in the interest rate they must pay to attract buyers for that debt. That means they now pay yearly interest that exceeds their total defence budget and is continuing its rapid upward trajectory.
When that is linked to the coming collapse of the largest ever financial bubble in US stock markets their economy, or what remains of it, will suffer a catastrophic depression, dragging down much of the rest of the western world with it.
The logical conclusion of these facts is that the US will soon be unable to finance its gigantic war machine and we will see a huge withdrawal of US military and intelligence operations from their over 800 military bases around the world. Bloody good riddance!!!!!!
