In response to Electric vehicles are not a Chinese conspiracy

The Murdoch ordure farm

Despite the higher production costs of EVs and end-of-life concerns, numerous comprehensive studies confirm that EVs have a significantly lower total environmental impact than internal combustion engine vehicles. These are key findings from various studies and regions. EV vs. ICE Lifecycle Emissions from the US Department of Energy it was estimated that a 2025 EV produces 46 per cent less GHG (greenhouse gases). By 2035, this is projected to be 76 per cent less.

The European Union (ICCT) study found battery EVs have 73 per cent lower lifecycle emissions than gasoline cars.

Another US study (ICCT-2024) found that an EV SUV has 71 per cent lower emissions. It also found that a 2030 model is projected to have 77 per cent lower emissions.

Globally on average, battery EVs are environmentally superior to internal combustion engine vehicles. A case study in Pakistan showed EVs produce 29.6% less lifetime CO₂ equivalent emissions (65,383 kg vs. 92,917 kg).

These are scientific studies which I know the Murdoch excrement farm is allergic to, but there you go!!

In addition rapid Chinese developments in battery technologies is ensuring battery life way past the useful life of the vehicle in which they are installed and will eliminate lithium and other expensive to mine minerals.
