In these matters of world-wide geopolitical significance it is rare indeed to listen to a voice with real diplomatic knowledge and experience from the western side like Chas Freeman. Too often the debate is dominated in the west by pompous and ignorant idiots. The old African proverb comes to mind “The fool speaks, the wise man listens!”. This summarises the amateurs running western foreign policies.

If they had the humility to listen to those with the skills, education and wisdom they may well prove to be successful instead of being risible duds!!!
