In response to Israeli embassy attacks Labor’s draft Gaza platform

An appropriate response to the Israeli Ambassador

The Israeli Ambassador’s commentary on the draft Labor Gaza-Israeli policy to be debated at the national conference is a paradigm example of the Israeli government (read: ultra-Zionist) approach to the rest of the World’s concerns.

In its arrogance, bullying, armour-plated repudiation of the slightest criticism, astonishing utilisation of the whole ‘holocaust’ guilt-trip lever against any and all humanitarian issues let alone long-time established ‘international rules of order’ (see: UN Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide) the current Israeli government is in conflict with the civilised world on so many counts it beggars imagination.

If we had a Foreign Minister with a shred of decency instead of the fawning puppy to which she has reduced her once deserved reputation as a politician of integrity, or a PM with a shred of conscience, the Israeli Ambassador would be told what is usually expressed in a rather more terse and pungent phrase:

‘Go Elsewhere’.

The usual Australian version ends in ‘Off.’
