In response to All Australians have the right to be protected against violence

Antisemitism Commission must repudiate genocide

Jack Waterford’s article hits many deserving targets in regard to the Antisemitism Commission – which is objectively doomed as justice by its discrimination against all other racial/religious etc. groups subject to attack.

No more cogent proof of a need to broaden the focus of the Commission’s inquiry can there be than – as Jack says: ‘Some Australian Jews are active citizens of Israel, serve in the Israeli armed forces….’ without any evident reaction from the Australian government.

Australia was an original signatory to the UN Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.

The UN has already concluded that Israel is currently likely to be committing genocide, and a large number of UN members have ascribed to that view. Therefore, Australian Jews actively serving in the IDF are most likely assisting in the humanitarian crime of genocide.

No amount of bluster, misdirection and even quite evident outright lying by the Israeli government negates the facts we see daily. The Zionist industry Hasbara that strives to deny the facts is working here as well as worldwide.

Progressive Jews, exemplified by the Jewish Council of Australia seek to remediate the damage being done. The Australian government should support this.
