In response to AUKUS Infrastructure, part 2: The Henderson bottleneck

Are we being led up the garden path?

Part’s 1 & 2 of these AUKUS Infrastructure articles are quite fascinating.

Combine these two articles with the recommendations of one Michael Sharpe, the CEO of the AUKUS Forum then I would guess that there are some big surprises in store for all Australians who thought that the figure of AU$368 billion was the total outlay required for the current AUKUS proposal.

Then combine the above with an article published today, 29 July 2026 “AUKUS: The strategy for a bygone era” and one can understand why The PM did not want any discussion with respect to AUKUS at the recent Australian Labor Party (ALP) National Conference.

I strongly suspect we are being led up the garden path by a group of gardeners from both major political parties who are hopelessly lost.

I look forward, with trepidation, to further shocks from the remaining four articles in Peter Briggs series.
