Human nature still prevails

The one thing missing from the well made discussion is human nature and nature in general. All sorts of animals have evolved over millions of years, walked out of the sea, remained on land, and stood up and walked on their hind legs – but these changes don’t happen over an electoral cycle. I am not a student of history, but I’m seldom surprised by the similarities between the records of history that i am exposed to. The same greed of the time of slavery still manifests itself today, the same tribalism manifests itself today, the same never-ending self-serving wars, the same religious bigotry are as common as they ever were. Read up on the housing, food crises, and the same exploitation of workers, the same extreme wealth and the extreme poor of others and the stability that comes from reasonably good times for all and the same manufactured conflicts are reported on or covered up to suit the human narrative. I can only conclude that however you report it, cover it up, or digitise it that it is human nature – to cannibalise the weak to benefit the ultra rich.
