It's beginning to look like a bait and switch
All these conversations about antisemitism versus free speech on university campuses is beginning to look like a bait and switch. Is antisemitism the smoke screen, while the real goal is to limit all free speech, not just concerning Palestine but across the board? The world as we have known it is on the brink of some major changes. To list a sample, the US is slipping off its pedestal, Israel is on the nose everywhere but in the Anglo/Zionist world, Iran has surprised us all, China is emerging in a globally dominant position, Russia is not a pushover after all, and the climate is collapsing. Lots there to debate, and a debate on topical subjects is just the thing to energise university students. Could that be the worry? All these pressing issues, and the powers that be might not want to deal with angry, articulate students challenging their decisions and generally getting in their faces.
