Pine Gap and Australian vulnerability

I have written of this before but evidently, Richard Marles remains as deficient of intellectual capacity as all of his performances suggest.

Yes, Pine Gap would be the first target for a Chinese hypersonic nuclear-armed munition should the deranged USA decide to initiate full strategic-level attack.

The most likely second target – identified by Des Ball in about 1973 or 1974 (I forget the exact date, it was in a tutorial run by Des at which I was a student) – would be the back-up Pine Gap communications facility.

Which is located in Kent St, Deakin, ACT. Google Maps: -35.326036, 149.097110, it’s called ‘Defence Installation’ and sod-all information is available on just what it is for.

The nearest house to that installation was once rented by Doug Anthony, and shared with a senior CIA agent – the man in charge at that time of Pine Gap!.

Of course Australia is an ’equal partner’ in Pine Gap. Which would explain why the CIA operative shared house with the then Deputy PM of Australia in a location an easy walk to work every morning.
