Stunted immaturity
That we are still having debates in this country whether or not climate change is real shows the astonishingly stunted immaturity of the Australian political landscape. That mainstream media still entertains this dangerous stupidity speaks to their lack of integrity and skill. The global evidence is now overwhelming. 40 years of political denial and mud slinging has left Australia in the dust regarding economic opportunities in green technology and climate disaster preparedness.
I make a direct line between every parliamentary minister over the past 40 years to the current climate crisis. Disappointment in our successive governments doesn’t even cover it.
When will certain stunted individuals acknowledge the facts? When crop failure from lack of rain, scorching heat or pollinator decimation means they can’t get their favourite foods in the supermarket? Or will it take the brown trickle from the kitchen tap due to lack of water pressure for the penny to drop? Don’t get me started on AI data centres, with their 40 million litres of water use per data centre per day…
We are plummeting head first into climate induced catastrophe dragging future generations after us, fully aware we could have prevented it.
