The only credible party to offer stable and effective government?

Dear John, I read your recent article “What is the point of power without purpose?”and found it incredibly interesting. I found myself agreeing with everything you said-almost. I became skeptical when I read that “The ALP is the only credible party able to combat this garbage and offer stable and effective government. But that is not enough. It must reflect the values that Labor has traditionally supported.”

Really? The “only” credible party? And then I read the next paragraph: “Few former Labor Prime Ministers would have been complicit in the Gaza genocide, the forfeiture of our sovereignty in US bases and AUKUS” and suddenly things fell in place and got your drift: you are a Greens supporter! Everything that you want to see and advocate for are enshrined in the Greens ideological position, policies and communications. AUKUS? Dead against. Gaza? Pro-Palestinian. US bases? Gas? Resources? Super-rich? Education, environment, tax reform, wages, inequality, gambling and alcohol tax and advertising, health, NDIS-the list is long and I can keep going, but I am sure you get what I mean. I also gather that you are a disaffected Labor supporter who abandoned the party that abandoned its core values and you as well.
