There IS another way

When the government can’t do simple things like banning gambling advertising and raising the age of criminal responsibility to (at least) 14, we can forget action on climate change, sovereignty, tax reform and all the rest. The sad fact is neither of the major political parties, or none of the three majors if you believe the stats, is fit to govern. We’re almost as big a basket case as the US. Probably most don’t recognise it because we’re a bit better dressed.

There is an answer. All it needs is more of the hand-wringers to get to work. So often on social media, and out in the streets talking to the public, people will say “I wish I had an MP like (in my case) Monique Ryan.” Repeat that comment wherever there is a Community Independent MP.

The message is … No one is going to give you that MP. It’s a DIY job and you have to work for it. Form your “Voices of …” group and roll up your sleeves. The payoff is an MP who listens, knows you and works in ‘your’ interests, not interests of a party or lobby group. The bonus: new friends and fun.
