In response to How the Royal Commission should define antisemitism

We are discussing murder here

There is something self-indulgent to the point of obscenity in this nit-picking and comma-splicing attempt to define “antisemitism”, necessary though that may be. Every day we argue, and every day the hungry, homeless and hurt in Gaza are being hunted, targeted and killed. They are given no recourse to appeal their sentence, and their supporters and defenders are being hounded from the public space. Whether or not a random undergraduate at this or that Australian university feels a vague sense of unease is simply not the point. We are discussing murder here, and there really is no other way to write that.
