In response to The Pentagon is burning the bridge before building the road

Apex of reductionist absurdity

An American President signs a piece of paper and the world is supposed to adjust according to the Executive Order. Such a clear example of the bizarre distortion of reality produced by western reductionism, made worse by the extreme individualism that exists in America. Perhaps in this case calling it a supply CHAIN is part if the problem. Unless you’re an organic chemist you think of a chain as linear. Break one link and it’s useless. But it’s actually a system, or hierarchy of complex systems within a complex system, all of them beyond control. It’s a system of pools, inventories, processes, fluxes, and feedback loops. Its properties and response to perturbation are emergent and unpredictable. Nothing that involves the actions of living organisms behaves like a mechanical clock, contrary to the ‘command and control’ false logic that takes over militaristic minds.

And this adjustment commanded by the Pentagon and President is for what? So that the military-industrial-complex can continue to produce and sell weapons sustaining a US hegemony that doesn’t actually exist, weapons used in “theatres’ of war where the intention is that they not be used in an unwinnable war with China.
