Facts we need to know!

A first rate article by Jack Waterford in which he deals with conviction with the failings of both the modern Labor Party and the equally damning ones of the present Catholic Church. He sets out some interesting historical facts about both that we may have forgotten. The current case being investigated by ICAC may well reveal more of the facts that the Church and the ALP would rather we didn’t know.

The interesting question to be answered is the conflict between the payment of money to the Catholic Church schools to promote its religious values and the potential use of some of that money to manipulate politics, presumably to further benefit the Church. The real question is going to be whether the ICAC will live up to its past reputation for revealing what the powerful would rather remained unheard.
