Propping up AUKUS

I have read many times, the observation that the first country to unleash an atomic weapon will create a response that will end life on this planet. So I do not understand why certain men in politics with no training in the destructiveness of warfare can be allowed authority to embark on a program to equip Australia with nuclear weapon capable submarines. Questions about integrity, truthfulness, sovereignty, let alone cost are deflected by those with red and blue ties.

Who really benefits from the AUKUS decision? In what form does that benefit exist? Many words have been printed and spoken condemning AUKUS and the government and opposition have not accepted their viewpoints and responded. They play a dead bat! Now half way through the federal electoral cycle, it is time for an Anti-AUKUS party to emerge to allow the voting public to have their say. It might not win power but gain enough first-prefence votes to send a sharp reminder to the government that it must listen and act for its people, and not to overseas interests. I do not want a mushroom cloud hanging over Australia.
