"The way to dusty death"

Were we to have the slightest grain of common sense and moral acuity we should have recognised the futility of the US empire as far back as 1950’s Korea. But as Macbeth so aptly soliloquized “all our yesterdays have lighted fools the way to dusty death”.

The decades and the multiple failed wars or aggression launched by that empire should have convinced anyone with a functioning brain that it was and is no different from all the failed empires of the past. It’s conceit of being the “indispensable nation” departs in no significant respect from the same conceits stretching back over five thousand years.

But history has never been the West’s favourite subject as to know it would have counseled care, caution and common sense. The West can never be unjustly accused of such qualities!
