Letter
Dishonest and delusional?
Not content with pursuing his campaign against the NSW director of public prosecutions in the rancid pages of the Daily Telegraph, Stephen Lawrence MP, reminded (by me, on LinkedIn) that his behaviour may constitute a misuse of parliamentary privilege, employs the well-known misogynist Mark Latham as his proxy in Parliament, and Andrew Fraser as his publicity officer in the somewhat more respectable pages of Pearls and Irritations. As expected, Latham leapt to the task like a rabid dog, and Fraser repeats his and Lawrence’s inaccuracies in a way that calls into question his judgment in other issues on which he has corresponded in P&I. Lawrence now hypocritically accuses the DPP of not running a psychologically safe workplace, because Ms Killoran and another unnamed person are on stress leave and can’t be contacted. Does he have Ms Killoran’s permission for him to weaponise her by name in Parliament against the director? And the so-called sycophantic letter organised by Brett Hatfield SC in support of the director may simply be proof that she is supportive of her staff in a way that neither of her two predecessors were. (I was the DPP’s librarian from 1997 to 2015.)
