An Earth Systems Treaty
We all need to become planetary citizens.
Julian Cribb, the Australian science author, is one of the most distinguished voices of reason when it comes to Earth systems thinking. I could not agree more with his assessment. The Earth Charter, which is widely endorsed around the world, is a solid foundation for shaping a culturally binding Earth Systems Treaty, which all of humanity can accept as a common commitment to the Earth Biosphere, on which we are all entirely dependent. We have the ability to communicate this message in real time to the entire world. Let’s get it done!
