National security?
Just how much is hidden behind “national security”? (The military Americanisation of Northern Australia) Very little actual information is released for the voters to make an informed decision on national security. We are pawns in expensive political gamesmanship. How many billions of dollars have been wasted on national security?
Hardly a month goes by without talk of another failed defence contract which the voters have no say in because of national security. Even with the secrecy of national security and the poor quality of mainstream media, any thinking person must question the rationale behind AUKUS / U-SUKA (M Brune France).
How many defeats of the US and its allies by Third World countries do we have to witness before we understand that national security is wasting our taxes and stealing our country from all of us?
The latest land grab follows millions wasted on French subs, the signing up to a multi-billion-dollar nuclear sub/Brooklyn Bridge/nuclear waste dump deal, all in an attempt to wedge the Opposition and save the prime minister for everything’s job . The new Government has done nothing about this money pit, all in the name of national security. I’m thinking the biggest threat to national security is the US forces in Australia.
