End, end the Gaza genocide

Worshippers of Death, They will remain such, In the annals of human history. Never forgiven, Never forgotten, For the genocide, They perpetrated! …

GAZA, GAZA, GAZA

I look at the photos I look at the videos I look at the explosions I look at the obliteration

Dust rubble Everywhere Every image Witness to the horror

I think images Sameness Gaza Ghetto Warsaw Ghetto Warsaw/Gaza Ghetto Interchangeable

Same terror-stricken children Same terror-stricken adults Same intense fear Same intense helplessness

I stare I see I shake I cannot believe Starved faces Dismembered Arms legs torsos Heads hands Lying in the rubble In the dust

A silence has descended Among many We cannot mention In polite company Dehumanisation Genocide annihilation It makes us depressed It disturbs our enjoyment Of our pleasures Of our often facile Approved hedonism Our shopping therapy Our petty intrigues Our petty worries

We must not talk about it Think about it

It’s impolite It’s rude It’s bad mannered It’s disrespectful In respectable Bien pensant company To talk about it

Tomorrow, tomorrow New days will dawn The American Masters Together with their European Vassals Will trumpet

Netanyahu, Ben-Gevir, Smotrich We will protect you Make sure All will be forgiven All will be forgotten You will be assured The good life Peaceful death

War criminals they remain Of Disintegration Of Dismemberment Of Non-Existence Of Nothingness

Worshippers of Death

They will remain such In the annals of human history

Never forgiven Never forgotten For the genocide They perpetrated !

END, END THE GAZA GENOCIDE

I think of Adorno Writing in 1949 that poetry Cannot be written after the Holocaust

I think now in 2024 We must write Write to the exclusion Of everything

Urge all writers All philosophers All historians All journalists All poets To think To write to speak to read

About the Gazan Holocaust

To write nothing else For a week For a month For however long Until the genocide stops

It will require courage It will require solidarity

A worldwide strike Writing strike Excluding everything Except writing About Gaza There is nothing that’s more Important

For a ceasefire For a just peace For reparations to Palestinians For Palestinians right to return For saving Palestinians

From extermination It’s extremely urgent
