Drew Hutton has been an environmental and social justice campaigner for nearly sixty years. He was a co-founder of the Queensland and Australian Greens and was the spokesperson for the Queensland Greens for many years. He was also the president and spokesperson for the Lock the Gate Alliance. He wrote A History of the Australian Environment Movement with Libby Connors (1999), edited Green Politics in Australia (1987) and wrote Mining the Queensland Way (2013).
