The Zionist Lobby Marches Onwards

In his article posted in P&I on 27 September, Scott Burchill argues convincingly that it is primarily US policy, not the pro-Zionist lobby, that is driving Australia’s pathetic and shambolic failure to actively support peace in Palestine.

I agree completely with his summation that: ‘… the uglier truth is that in Australia the Israel lobby doesn’t need to work very hard to secure its political objectives. For the most part, they are pushing at an open door. ‘

There is a continual tsunami of diatribe, accusations of anti-Semitism, bullying and threats/ legal action against any proposal of just treatment of any target (in all senses of that word) of Zionist conquest. Even Jews in increasing numbers who decry the perfidious actions that will condemn their community to decades of opprobrium from the rest of the world are branded as traitors.

Appropriation of the Holocaust for base reasons including power, recognition or profit is an industry. It is being used by many agents, from Netanyahu and his coterie to the so very many synthetic authorities claiming to be the spokespeople for Jews in Australia.

Do not underestimate the seductive power of self-interest as a motivation for confected outrage.
