Looking to the future

Pearls and Irritations has long been Australia’s best public policy site and it is now even more important.

Pearls and Irritations has long been Australia’s best public policy site and it is now even more important as the regular media have replaced policy analysis with pontification and point-scoring.

P&I presents the knowledge and expertise of practitioners from the worlds of academia, diplomacy, the civil service and the media-as-it-once-was to offer insights into national policy-making.

All contributors are volunteers, writing for love – of their subjects and of their desire to further national debate.

Theirs is a contribution to the future, for the future is at the heart of P&I’s concerns: how to forge a better Australia, within our borders and beyond.
