At the end of this month we farewell Aran Martin, after over two years as our editor.

From early February, Sam Varghese will be acting editor of Pearls and Irritations. Sam previously acted as editor when Aran Martin went on paternity leave late last year, smoothing the transition.

Aran is leaving us at the end of January, after over 2 years as editor.

We thank him for an outstanding job and wish him well for the future.

As editor Aran has helped Pearls and Irritations consolidate and grow in readers and influence.

With the poor performance of mainstream media, Aran has successfully promoted the independent voice of Pearls and Irritations.

We have received over a dozen applications for the position of editor of Pearls and Irritations. We are now assessing those applications.

Due to the holiday period and personal matters the appointment of a new editor have been delayed, but we look forward to introducing a new incumbent soon.
