Cross the vengeful Israeli lobby at your peril
April 14, 2025
The “them” in the title of this article is the all-too-powerful, vengeful Israeli lobby in Washington DC and those who do its bidding.
The likes of AIPAC (American Israeli Public Affairs Committee), ADL (Anti- Defamation League) and the Zionist Organisation of America, to name but a few.
They have their eyes firmly focused on the prize and they employ all their financial clout, political and media connections to win it. Nothing will stand in the way of total subjugation of the American political system to serve, not the interests of American citizens, but those of a foreign country, Israel. Any mention of Israel, with even the slightest criticism is pounced upon immediately with the usual accusation of “antisemitism” and those who air their views are demonised, marginalised and forced into submission.
The recent history of the political arena in Western corridors of power, especially those in the US, is littered with examples of such aspiring politicians who were squashed and gotten rid of.
Their crime? They believed their job was to serve the American people who had voted them into power, not a foreign country. So, when they were approached by AIPAC to pay homage and swear allegiance to Israel in writing, and they refused, they were immediately marked down as foes. The well-oiled machinery of the Israeli lobby instantly swung into action to end the political career of these principled people.
Here is a recent example of a Republican member of Congress, describing the toxic relationship between members of Congress and AIPAC. Less than a year ago, on 18 June 2024, US Representative Thomas Massie of Kentucky, one of the few Republicans who have been openly critical of AIPAC, said every Republican in Congress has an AIPAC babysitter.
“They don’t want one horse out of the barn,” he is quoted as saying, “ If one person starts speaking the truth, they’re afraid it might be contagious. It starts raising questions, and I think that’s why they get mad.”
Another horse who dared to put a hoof out of the barn recently is Adam Boehler, Trump’s special representative in charge of hostage release negotiations, who broke the biggest taboo of all. He admitted openly that the US was in direct negotiations with Hamas in Doha. As widely reported and televised by CNN only a few days ago, he went further. He said, “They don’t have horns growing out of their heads, they’re pretty nice guys.” Even more telling, when criticised for even speaking to Hamas, Boehler pointed out, “We are the United States of America. We are not agents for Israel.”
Pure, deluded Boehler, he thought he was living in a democracy and that his first amendment right would protect him. Wrong!
As local Israeli newspaper, Israel Hayom, reported:
“His statements provoked anger among pro-Israel Republicans, who pressured the Trump administration to remove him from the issue. Senior administration officials assured officials in Jerusalem and Republican lawmakers in Washington that Boehler would be taken off the matter, with one official stating that he had “completely lost confidence in him”
I don’t think you’ll be surprised to learn that the owner of Israel Hayom is Miriam Addison, an ex-Israeli soldier and widow of Sheldon Addison, the gaming magnate who contributed more than US$100 million to the Trump campaign during the 2024 presidential campaign.
As a final touch to prove, if proof is needed, on how dominant the influence of these various Zionist lobbies on American political life and foreign policy can be, you only need to read, They Dare to Speak Out: People and Institutions Confront Israel’s Lobby by the late Paul Findley, former member for Illinois of the US House of Representatives, published in 2003.
