Alice in the Australian Wonderland as government demonises victims of terrorism

The context to my article below is today’s extreme media, and Dutton’s and the Albanese government’s hysteria regarding the appearance of the Hezbollah flag at this week’s protest against the Gazan genocide and bombing of Beirut in Melbourne.
Unbelievable. The Albanese government is engaging in totalitarian newspeak and doubly so, has the hysterical Victorian Premier Jacinta Allen. Murdoch’s media, especially, The Australian newspaper, has led a bloodhound pack against dissidents opposed to the Palestinian genocide, followed by Dutton, Albanese and smaller basset hounds in the rest of the media and repressive sectors of the Australian state apparatus.
Perpetrators are portrayed as victims. The Israeli government, according to the most respected international medical journal, is responsible for over 200 thousand deaths of Palestinians in Gaza. But no matter. Our morally righteous media and government portray them as innocent victims.
The real victims of the genocide, the Palestinians, are portrayed as terrorists. According to Dutton, all Palestinians coming to Australia are potential terrorists.
If sanity ruled in this current situation the Israeli flag would also be criminalised as a symbol of terror.
Of course it won’t, because two key factors operating here are on the one hand the wilful ignorance of most Australian politicians about the real causes of this war of annihilation waged by the Netanyahu government and, on the other, the total identification of the Australian ruling elites with the Israeli settler-colonial state. This identification is not simply one of fealty to the American Imperium, it is also a deep psychological identification with the Israeli perpetrators of genocide given that the Australian elites are the direct inheritors and beneficiaries of the genocide of Aboriginal people in Australia.
