John Crothers
John Crothers is a Catholic priest of the Sydney Archdiocese. He worked as the Promoter of Justice and Peace in the Archdiocese during the 1990s, after completing a Licentiate in the Church’s Social Doctrine at the Gregorian University in Rome. He is the author of <em>The Clergy Club</em>, which takes a look at clericalism from within the priesthood. John is a musician and singer, and uses his music to promote Church reform on his John Crothers Singer Songwriter YouTube channel. John retired from full time parish work in 2016 after 16 years as parish priest of Penshurst and Peakhurst parishes. He also posts songs on his “<em>John Crothers Singer Songwriter</em>” YouTube channel calling for a more inclusive Church.
