Where have all the liberals gone?
The new liberal consensus, born of a shared “exhaustion,” is that it is time to “tune out,” or “take a break,” or simply close one’s eyes and ears.

“Barbarians and their accomplices”- Israel and Western media
The year just past, and we had all better face this, will be remembered as the year the Zionist regime in Israel dragged the Western post-democracies into a state of barbarism we, the inheritors of “the Judeo–Christian tradition,” were supposed to have left behind many centuries ago. I offer this assertion after lengthy reflection. In its suggestion of the historic magnitude of our moment, I do not consider it in the slightest hyperbolic.

The Biden family of liars
Given Joe Biden’s apparently intimate involvement in Hunter’s dealings, it follows that his intent in pardoning his son is effectively to secure a pardon for himself.

Nasrallah is dead but Bibi hasn’t won
Many people now mourn Nasrallah’s death, in Lebanon and elsewhere, but Hezbollah’s existence is nowhere near in question.

The sound of enforced silence
Our censors, as the record shows again and again, have no special concern about acting in a serious manner. Power has no such obligation.

No more silence
If Zionist ideology ever fit into the modern world, and I will leave this an outstanding question, it no longer does.

‘Brain Dead’ & dangerous, NATO proceeds
The trans–Atlantic alliance’s true purpose of global dominance is too objectionable to profess. Instead, it operates on the basis of fantastic conjurings, which no member questions.

The afterlives of lies
The hoax of “weaponised rape” in Gaza takes what seems a fatal hit.

The price of Biden’s new China tariffs
This is the opening move in a protectionist regime the U.S. president will extend significantly to prove his bona fides as a Sinophobe.

Ðiên Biên Phú at 70: The best journalists report from “the other side”
How did the Vietnamese prevail at that world-historical moment? The answers shed light on the world we see outside our windows now.

Europes identity crisis
As European leaders continue to import a version of U.S. militarism, rearmament will cost the Continent its postwar social contract.

Authorised atrocities
Israels lawlessness has a history that those in the West share with the apartheid state.

Rearmament and Europes welfare
Lets see how Europeans respond when they are told their peace dividend is henceforth to be spent on the machinery of war when its howitzers instead of hospitals now, as aNew York Timesarticle puts it.

Trial Balloon: Did the Pentagon deliberately sabotage Blinkens China visit?
It seems the Pentagon has floated another one. The net result of this incident thus far is that the secretary of state has called off a scheduled summit to Beijing intended to reduce tensions.

Europe and the legitimisation of deception
The U.S., having no need of or gift for statecraft, has long practiced what Ive taken to calling the diplomacy of no diplomacy. You cant expect much from bimbos such as Antony Blinken or Wendy Sherman, Blinkens No. 2 at the State Department. All they can do is roar, even if they are mice next to any serious diplomat.

Zhou Enlais posthumous triumph
Nations now fashioning a postWestern world order appear to be abiding by the Five Principles espoused by Chinas first and long-serving premier.

Respected American journalist demolishes Bidens approach to China
Ive given up being amazed at how stupidly the Biden administration conducts its diplomacy with China and, by extension, Asia altogether. I spend my time now being amazed at how stupid these people assume the Chinese and other Asians to be.

The collapse of foreign coverage in mainstream media
We are getting the worst press coverage of overseas events I can remember from the correspondents fielded in Ukraine.
3 July 2021
The delusion of Biden and the price of power.
It is remarkable how quickly the Biden administration is acquiring its stamp the watermark it will leave on our parchment when it is done. This will be made of isolation and delusion, in my read. I conclude this partly because of what President Biden and his people have done in the four months since assuming the executive branch, and partly because of Bidens moment in the long story of Americas rise and decline in the post1945 era.

One does not accept for a moment that America is exceptional. (The Scrum Nov 9, 2020)
A humane health-care system? NoBiden has already said so. A proper infrastructure program? No. A jobs program, a Green New Deal? No and no. On the foreign side, renovated, 21st century policies toward Russia, North Korea, China, apartheid Israel? No, no, no, and emphatically no. What about the Iran nuclear accordyes, that one, the one that matters? No again: Biden is far too in with the Israeli lobby to reverse the Trump administrations course, and anyone who expects otherwise is still dreaming.
